Joshua Pollard is a Professsor of Archaeology at the University of Southampton. Following study at Cardiff University he worked as a Project Officer at the Cambridge Archaeological Unit (and so involvement with the Barleycroft/Over excavations). While retaining wider archaeological interests, much of his research has focussed on British prehistory, and has included direction of fieldwork projects in the Avebury and Stonehenge landscapes.
